Who We Are

A living community in the heart of BresciaUna comunità viva nel cuore di Brescia

The Parish of the Saints Faustino and Giovita is a Religious Institution recognized by the Italian State (law 222/1985, ministerial Decree 12/1987).
Its history dates back to the VIII century and developped together with the Benedictine Monastery of San Faustino Maggiore following the growth of the town as it was spreading westward, at the foot of the Colle Cidneo.
The suppressions of the Napoleonic times ended the presence of monks; the parish was handed over to the Franciscan friars of the nearby convent of San Giuseppe first, and then to the dicoesan clergy, which is still in charge of the pastoral and culturale life of the parish.

Custodians of faith and beauty
